There are several differences between an apartment and a townhome. All townhomes have 2 floors. townhomes can be either privately owned or part of a community. If it's a privately owned townhome it costs about the same as a condo. If it is part of a community it shares the same benefits as an apartment. A common misconception is that all townhomes have yards but in all actuality some do and some don't.
